ARCHAEOLOGY FAIR

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH

Experience the largest presentation of work by Chicago-based artist Nick Cave called Meet Me at the Center of the Earth, featuring forty of his "Soundsuits"–multi-layered, mixed-media sculptures named for the sounds made when the “suits” are worn. The Soundsuits are created from scavenged ordinary materials–detritus from both nature and culture–that Cave re-contextualizes into extraordinary works of art. FESTIVAL OF HUMAN ABILITIES

Join the Aquarium of the Pacific for its seventh annual Festival of Human Abilities, January 23 and 24, 2010 from 9 am to 5 pm. The celebration highlights the creative talents and abilities of people with disabilities.
